Couples Accommodation on the Mornington Peninsula
The right Peninsula stay for two should do more than look good in a booking thumbnail. It should give the weekend shape. That usually means one of four things: vineyard quiet, coastal village access, thermal-springs atmosphere, or a design-led hotel that makes the staying itself part of the point.
The strongest couples stays on the Peninsula tend to be slower rather than louder. Polperro Villas, Crittenden Estate Villas, and Lindenderry work best when the weekend is built around wine, long lunches, and a late breakfast. Sanctuary at Alba opened June 2025 as the Peninsula's first thermal-anchored villa stay — five villas with private plunge pools and full access to Alba Thermal Springs. Cassis Red Hill takes a similar poolside approach: five adults-only villas each with a private heated mineral pool, deeper in the Red Hill corridor. Villa Mallorca is the most intimate option — two suites, a Majorcan finca-style property in Mt Martha, with hosts Paul and Sheree Steel as the reason to go. Jackalope is sharper and more performative. Peninsula Hot Springs Glamping is the most experience-led option — glamping pods inside the PHS precinct, thirty seconds from the Spa Dreaming Centre. Hotel Sorrento and The Continental make most sense when the trip needs the village and the coast as much as the room.
