What Peninsula Insider is

Peninsula Insider provides editorially curated recommendations, planning guidance, and destination information about the Mornington Peninsula. Our content is designed to help you discover and plan Peninsula experiences — it is editorial guidance, not a booking service or a guarantee of any particular experience.

Recommendations and editorial guidance

Recommendations on Peninsula Insider reflect editorial judgement based on firsthand experience, local knowledge, and ongoing coverage of the Peninsula. They are genuine — not paid placements or commercially influenced listings (see Editorial Approach for how coverage decisions are made).

Recommendations describe what we observed and what we think makes a place worth your time. They are not guarantees. We recommend places because we believe in them, but:

• venue experiences can vary by season, staffing, and conditions
• opening hours, menus, and pricing change
• bookings sell out and events move
• venues occasionally close or change significantly

Before committing to a booking or making a special trip, we encourage you to confirm key details directly with the venue or operator.

Ask PI

Ask PI provides planning guidance and recommendations drawn from Peninsula Insider's editorial knowledge of the region. Ask PI responses are based on our best available information but should be treated as a starting point for planning, not a definitive or real-time source.

Ask PI does not have live access to booking availability, current opening hours, or real-time event status. Conditions, prices, and availability can change between when our content was written and when you visit. For anything time-sensitive — a booking, a special occasion, a long drive — please confirm the details directly with the venue or operator before you go.

Ask PI recommendations reflect Peninsula Insider's editorial perspective and are independent of commercial relationships. A recommendation from Ask PI means we think it's genuinely worth considering — it does not mean the venue is aware of, or has endorsed, the suggestion.

Saved places and plans

Saving places and building plans on Peninsula Insider is a personal planning tool. Saved content reflects information at the time it was saved — we don't update your saved lists when venue details change. Check the current venue page or contact the operator before acting on a saved recommendation, especially if some time has passed since you saved it.

Accuracy and currency

We work to keep Peninsula Insider current and accurate. We run regular accuracy checks and act on corrections promptly. But no editorial publication can guarantee every detail is right at every moment — venues change, events shift, and conditions vary. Where this occurs, it does not influence editorial recommendations — a venue is recommended because we believe it's worth your time, not because of a commercial relationship. Intellectual property
