Forty-six pre-pitched standing-height canvas tents inside the Point Nepean National Park quarantine station precinct at Portsea. The two configurations, 2-person and 4-person, share modern amenities, a camp kitchen, and a recreation room. BYO bedding and torch; stretcher beds and mattresses provided.
This is the Peninsula's clearest budget-gateway glamping product. The setting is the argument: sleeping inside a historic quarantine station at the southernmost accessible point of the Peninsula, with the ocean and heritage buildings on every side. September to April only, closed May through August. No domestic pets permitted. Booking fills quickly in school holiday periods and long weekends at the tip.
Book the 2-person tent in shoulder season, less competition for the best tent positions and fewer day visitors in the park. The combination of national park trails and the quarantine station heritage walk makes this one of the better two-night stays on the entire Peninsula.
