Why we’d go

The best walk-in view on the Peninsula, no six-week booking window, no degustation commitment, just a deck, a glass, and the sculpture park doing its thing in the foreground.

Point Leo Wine Terrace is the casual, drop-in face of the sprawling Point Leo Estate, no booking required, no degustation, no fuss. Walk in, take a table on the deck, order a cheese board and a glass of the estate Chardonnay, and let an hour or two go by while the sculpture park sits in the foreground and Port Phillip Bay stretches out beyond it. The deck, with its open view back across the sculpture to the water, is one of the Peninsula's genuinely great outdoor rooms.

The food is deliberately simple: charcuterie, cheese, wood-fired flatbreads, a share-plate list built around whatever the kitchen garden is producing. The wine program is all estate. The terrace works as a mid-morning reset between walking the sculpture park and lunch, or as your complete afternoon if you decide the view is enough.

Use the terrace as your mid-morning reset on a Point Leo day, or as your complete lunch when you want the estate experience without committing to a full restaurant booking.
