Portsea Hotel runs local acoustic acts every Friday and Saturday for the whole winter season - no ticket, no booking, just show up from 6pm. The hotel is right at the tip of the Peninsula so you get that end-of-the-road feeling with it.
Best move: afternoon walk at Point Nepean or out to the back beach, then into the hotel as the sun drops. Fires on, musicians set up, order food and stay as long as you like.
No charge to get in. Dinner from the kitchen. Pair with a coastal walk the next morning before the drive home.
