Wild Mushroom Forage & Lunch with The Kitchen

Guided autumn mushroom forage through the Red Hill and Main Ridge forests with an experienced guide, finished with a forest cook-up: butter, herbs, warm pan, good bread. Max 15 people.

Saturdays in May (9, 16, 23, 30). You meet a guide with 15+ years of autumn foraging behind them and walk the forests around Red Hill and Main Ridge looking for the two edible wild mushrooms that come up after the autumn rains. The walk ends with the catch in a hot pan: butter, herbs, bread on the side.

For curious food people, max 15 to a session. Wear boots, bring a rain shell. The Kitchen takes bookings directly, no online booking URL.

The smart pairing: forage in the morning, drive ten minutes to Polperro or Red Hill Brewery for the afternoon, end with truffle dinner if you've timed it right. May on the ridge is genuinely beautiful.

Keep planning
