Food & Wine 1 May – 30 April 2027 One-off date

Ten Minutes by Tractor, Terroir Masterclass

One hour in TMBT's private tasting room. Eight wines (two limited-release, six current), the three single-vineyard sites side-by-side, and the long answer to why Pinot from Main Ridge tastes the way it does.

Worth the drive

TMBT's three vineyards (McCutcheon, Wallis, Judd) sit minutes apart on Main Ridge and make wildly different Pinot and Chardonnay. The masterclass puts those wines next to each other on the bench, with a winemaker walking you through what changes between rows of vines a kilometre apart. Eight wines: two limited release, six current. Snacks on the table. Minimum two guests, private group only.

Built for people already a bit into wine. Not the entry-level tasting, this is the next step. Book directly through TMBT; the Tripadvisor listing has been on and off but the masterclass runs.

Do the masterclass mid-morning, then stay for lunch at TMBT Restaurant or walk down to Allis Wine Bar. Add Merricks General Store on the way home.

Keep planning

Peninsula This Weekend 18 to 19 July

July sits in the quieter stretch of Peninsula winter, and that is the point. The lead booking is a truffle hunt at Red Hill. Sunday is for the sculpture park at Pt. Leo.
