Mornington Christmas Festival & Main Street Christmas Parade
Annual Mornington Christmas Parade at 1pm on Main Street (brass band, dancers, elves, Mr & Mrs Claus), Santa meet-and-greet 1:30 to 4pm same day, Santa on Main Street 4 to 7pm across 21 to 23 December. Free, 2026 dates pattern-based pending council confirmation.
Mornington's Christmas Festival builds around the 1pm parade down Main Street: brass band, hip hop dancers, workshop elves, the roller-skating Christmas tree and Mr & Mrs Claus. Santa stays on for a meet-and-greet from 1:30 to 4pm, then returns to the Main Street strip from 4 to 7pm across 21 to 23 December for photos and last-minute magic.
Get there before 12:30 to claim kerb space, park up the hill or near the foreshore (Main Street closes). Plan a long lunch at one of the Main Street cafes afterwards, or walk down to the Mornington Pier for the rest of the afternoon.
2026 exact dates are pattern-based until the council confirms in October. The third weekend of December is the usual landing zone.
