The complication: 2025 was cancelled when the funding gap couldn't be closed, and the official site (as of late 2025) listed 2026 as 'seeking sponsors'. VicFomo and OnlyMelbourne project 18 October 2026 based on the annual pattern, but treat it as unconfirmed until the organiser announces.
