Why we’d goMornington Peninsula Brewery is the town's dedicated craft beer room, the founding Peninsula craft list, in a warehouse taproom that runs at a different pace from the pub down the road.
Mornington Peninsula Brewery is the town's dedicated craft beer room, a warehouse-scale brewhouse with a taproom attached, set slightly back from the main bayside strip and pulling a loyal mix of locals, visiting beer nerds, and families stopping in on the way home from the beach. The core range is the Peninsula's founding craft list, the IPA and Lager remain the anchor bottles, and the rotating taps lean into pilot-batch experiments worth the conversation with the bar team.
The food is straightforward brewery fare done properly, burgers, pizzas, a couple of share plates, and the room has enough space to absorb a group or to shrink down to a civilised weeknight pint. Live music Friday nights lifts the weekend tempo. The brewhouse is visible through the bar, which is exactly the right way to drink something and understand where it came from.
A good alternative to the bayside pub when you want something with its own point of view.
Worth knowing
If you only do one thing
Start with the tasting paddle, ask about the pilot batches, and stay for lunch if the table is working.
