Soil & Cellar: Flinders Truffles x Polperro Winery
Afternoon truffle hunt at Flinders Truffles, then a truffle-matched dinner at Polperro Winery with Sam Coverdale's wines. One ticket, one winter day.
Two halves of the same day. The first: 2pm to 5pm at Flinders Truffles, working dogs in the rows, your own paper bag and (if you're lucky) a black winter truffle on the table by the end. The second: 6:30pm at Polperro Winery Restaurant where chef and winemaker Sam Coverdale have built a truffle-led menu with matched flights of the current Polperro releases.
For couples and serious food people. Booked properly it's the calendar winter date on the Peninsula. There is also a morning hunt (11am to 1pm) with a separate dinner, ask Polperro when you book.
Dress for a wet paddock: gumboots, beanie, layers. Stay at Polperro Villas so the day doesn't end with a drive home. Pricing isn't published, you have to call Polperro directly.
