First timer

Victoria's longest-running street market: 120-plus stalls down Main Street every Wednesday, rain, hail or shine (high-wind policy aside). Handmade crafts, home-baked, home-grown plants and produce. Same rhythm for four decades.

The move: park behind the Coles or down by the foreshore, walk up Main Street, do the market, then lunch at one of the Main Street cafes. Genuinely the easiest midweek excuse to be in Mornington. Skip if your visit hinges on the weekend artisan-market experience: this is a working street market, not a destination day out.

Keep planning
