Family Mystery Picnic on the Mornington Peninsula

Self-guided family scavenger journey: solve smartphone clues, collect picnic goodies from local providers, hit activity stops, and feast at a scenic picnic location. Runs Thursday to Sunday weekly.

Shire-organised self-guided experience for families. You get digital clues on your smartphone, solve them to find the next stop, collect picnic food from local providers along the way, hit one or two activity stops, and the whole thing ends at a scenic picnic spot.

Runs Thursday to Sunday weekly. Book ahead so the picnic food is ready at the collection points.

Good pairing with Arthurs Seat Eagle in the same week for families doing multiple school holiday days on the Peninsula. Dress the kids for winter; the picnic spots are outdoors.

Keep planning

Peninsula This Weekend 18 to 19 July

July sits in the quieter stretch of Peninsula winter, and that is the point. The lead booking is a truffle hunt at Red Hill. Sunday is for the sculpture park at Pt. Leo.
