Emu Plains runs monthly at the Coolart Road reserve in Balnarring. Craft, design, vintage and food, the proper artisan mix rather than reseller tat. Volunteer-run, with the occasional twilight edition (usually January, 3pm to 8pm) worth diarising.
The move: arrive by 9:30am for the food queues, walk a full lap, then either across to Coolart Wetlands and Homestead (right next door) or push on to Balnarring Beach for an afternoon. In peak summer the shade thins out fast, so come early or skip.
