For 30 September to 4 October 2026; organiser pages checked 30 September. Choose one main outing, then leave room for a beach walk or an unhurried lunch. Published programmes are not proof of ticket availability or today’s conditions, so check the organiser before leaving.

Arthurs Seat Eagle: art from above

The Arthurs Seat Eagle spring programme runs through Sunday 4 October. The gondola reveals four earthwork artworks beneath the line, and children can collect an activity sheet before boarding. The Eagle lists holiday opening hours of 10am to 5pm daily.

For the final weekend, the organiser lists live music at the Summit on Saturday 3 October, noon to 3pm, weather permitting, and face painting for children visiting the Eagle on Sunday 4 October, 11am to 3pm. Check the programme and gondola booking before making this the day’s anchor.

Enchanted Adventure: an outdoor-day anchor

Enchanted Adventure lists daily opening from 9am to 5pm from September to April. The operator recommends allowing at least two to three hours for ground activities, welcomes picnics and advises booking ahead. Treat Tree Surfing as a separate decision: sessions have their own duration and can fill during school holidays.

Mornington: an indoor art stop

National Works on Paper 2026 is at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery through 22 November. The gallery lists regular Tuesday-to-Sunday hours of 11am to 4pm, so it works as a weather-independent stop during the final holiday weekend. It is an exhibition, not a children’s workshop; choose it for a child who enjoys looking closely at art.
