Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm - School Holiday Picking
The Peninsula's most reliably kid-proof outing. Rows of strawberries, a tractor ride, a box to fill, and a cafe that deals in volume at the other end.
Sunny Ridge is the Peninsula's baseline family activity and the cleanest win if you're travelling with kids and the ridge cellar doors are off-limits for the day. The strawberry season runs from late spring into the autumn shoulder - and the April school holidays are typically the last reliable picking window before the vines wind down.
The move: arrive 9:30am before the coach tours, pay entry, get issued a box, walk the rows for 20 minutes, pay by weight. The cafe at the end turns strawberries into everything from milkshakes to jam scones, and the outdoor tables are wide enough for a family of six without queuing.
