Moonlit Sanctuary - Easter School Holiday Program
Twenty-five years of conservation programming, wildlife encounters, and the most genuine family outing on the Peninsula that isn't a beach.
Moonlit Sanctuary sits in the hinterland east of Pearcedale and runs one of the Peninsula's most consistently good school-holiday programmes: keeper talks, wildlife encounters, a trail walk through bushland that is both a proper nature experience and engineered for small legs, and - the hidden move - the evening twilight walks that reveal the nocturnal side of the sanctuary.
Book the morning slot if you have early-rising kids; book the afternoon slot if you want the twilight walk as the day's finale. Either way, allow three hours on site, pack a picnic, and stop at Peninsula Hot Springs' cafe on the way back if you need to bribe someone.
The 2026 Easter school holiday programme runs daily through 27 April. Keep an eye on the sanctuary's calendar for the seasonal koala and glider walks.
