Arthurs Seat Eagle is running faux snow every hour on the hour from 11am to 4pm throughout the July school holidays. Ride the gondola up, wait for the snow, stand in it, repeat as required. The summit cafe does hot chocolates and the views across the bay are genuinely spectacular even on a grey July day.
Ends July 19 when school goes back so don't sleep on it.
Book the gondola online - it sells out on good weather weekend days. Wrap the kids up; the summit is noticeably colder than sea level.
