Emu Plains runs monthly at Balnarring's Coolart Road reserve, with a seasonal schedule that skips most of winter (October through April plus June and August). It is volunteer-run, craft-and-design heavy, and the kind of market where the food trucks are worth queueing for.
The move: get there by 9:30am for the food and coffee before queues set in, do a full lap, then walk over to Coolart Wetlands next door (it's right there) or push on to Balnarring Beach. Skip in midsummer if you can't handle heat: minimal shade once the sun is up.
