Selma and Jonathan Lowther planted the vineyard in 1981, among the oldest plantings on the Peninsula, and have run it as a two-person estate for more than forty years. The cellar door doubles as a small contemporary art gallery, the welcome is genuinely warm, and the wines are the kind of quiet, well-made cool-climate bottlings you only find when you deliberately look off the main road. The views run east to Western Port and the bush beyond; the tasting is unhurried and usually poured by the people who made the wine.
