Editor's verdict

An easy Mornington beer-hall stop this weekend. Check Tar Barrel's trading hours and book a table if you're going with a group.

Tar Barrel is running its first Steinfest from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 October at its Watt Road brewpub in Mornington. The organiser advertises a special tap line-up and steins available to buy and fill at the venue.

The event runs during normal trading hours, but the event page does not set out separate session times for each day. Check Tar Barrel's current hours and table-booking terms before travelling, especially if you are bringing a group. Food and drinks are purchased separately; check the organiser's page for current stein terms.
