A winery lawn and a restaurant table can have different dog rules. The confirmed entries below have an explicit published policy; call ahead about your table, weather cover and the day’s food offering.

Policy update, 18 September 2026: the named venue policies below were rechecked. The wider winery list and beach information retain their earlier verification dates.

## Confirmed dog-friendly

### Stonier Wines, Merricks

[Stonier’s official site](<https://www.stonier.com.au/about-us>) welcomes dogs on the lawn and accepts walk-ins. Check current hours and food availability before making it a lunch stop.

### Main Ridge Estate, Red Hill

The [official booking FAQ](<https://mre.com.au/book/>) requires dogs to be prebooked, on leads and outdoors, with a maximum of one dog per booking. Ask for a suitable table and confirm availability before travelling.

### Green Olive at Red Hill, Red Hill South

[Green Olive](<https://www.greenolive.com.au/>) advertises a dog-friendly farm and dining experience. Confirm your dog’s seating area when booking; the general welcome does not establish access to every space.

## Check directly before bringing a dog

### Many Little Bar & Dining, Red Hill South

We could not verify a pet policy on the [official site](<https://www.manylittle.com.au/>) checked on 18 September 2026. Ask about dog access and the permitted dining area before booking.

### Rare Hare, Merricks North

The [official venue page](<https://rarehare.com.au/about/>) checked on 18 September 2026 did not establish dog access. Ask directly about lawn and dining restrictions; the earlier confirmed recommendation is not retained.

### Foxeys Hangout, Red Hill, and Quealy Winemakers, Balnarring

Earlier versions quoted no-dogs rules. We could not reverify those statements on the current [Foxeys dining page](<https://foxeys-hangout.com.au/about/winery-lunch-at-foxeys/>) or [Quealy cellar-door page](<https://quealy.com.au/pages/cellar-door>). This does not establish a policy change or permission to bring pets. Check with each venue.

## Unconfirmed (call before visiting)

The following entries remain unconfirmed from the earlier review; they were not reverified in the September policy update. Call before assuming dogs are welcome.

Venue | Town | Notes |

Montalto | Red Hill South | Large outdoor sculpture trail; policy unconfirmed |

Pt. Leo Estate | Merricks | Large sculpture park; outdoor areas; policy not confirmed |

Port Phillip Estate | Red Hill South | Outdoor terrace; policy not confirmed |

Paringa Estate | Red Hill South | Garden Dining outdoor; policy not confirmed |

T’Gallant | Main Ridge | Piazza seating; policy not confirmed |

Crittenden Estate | Dromana | Outdoor lawns and lake; policy not confirmed |

Yabby Lake | Tuerong | Unconfirmed; low confidence even in secondary sources |

## Polperro: no pets permitted

Polperro in Red Hill does not permit pets, as stated in its [official venue FAQ](<https://www.polperrowines.com.au/dine/the-deck/>). This policy was checked on 7 September 2026.

## How to verify

Call the venue directly before visiting. Have a specific question ready: “Do you permit dogs in the outdoor areas?” is more useful than a general enquiry. Policies change seasonally (particularly in peak summer when outdoor spaces fill up) and often don’t get updated on websites.

For beaches that allow dogs between wineries: see our [dog-friendly beaches guide](<https://peninsulainsider.com.au/journal/dog-friendly-beaches-mornington-peninsula/>). Tassells Cove (Safety Beach) and Flinders Beach (Western Port north end) are both off-leash year-round and accessible from the winery circuit.

Original wider-guide verification: 22 April 2026. Selected dining policies updated on 18 September 2026 as marked above; no whole-guide re-verification is claimed.

## FAQ

Which wineries on the Mornington Peninsula allow dogs?

Stonier welcomes dogs on its lawn. Main Ridge Estate permits prebooked, leashed dogs outdoors, with one dog per booking. Green Olive advertises a dog-friendly farm experience; confirm the seating area. These official policies were checked on 18 September 2026.

Can you take dogs to Foxeys Hangout or Quealy Winemakers?

Ask the venue before visiting. Earlier no-dogs statements could not be reverified on the official pages checked on 18 September 2026. That does not mean the policy changed or that dogs are now welcome.

Do you need to book ahead to bring a dog to a winery?

Main Ridge Estate requires the dog to be prebooked, on a lead and outdoors, with a maximum of one dog per booking. Elsewhere, mention the dog and confirm the permitted seating area before relying on a table reservation.

Which winery restaurants can accommodate a dog?

Green Olive advertises dog-friendly farm dining, and Main Ridge Estate permits dogs at prebooked outdoor tables. Confirm the menu, service times and dog-suitable seating for your visit. Many Little and Rare Hare remain unconfirmed in this guide.
