# Date Night on the Mornington Peninsula

A Peninsula date night works best when you resist the temptation to over-programme it. Pick one destination: dinner at a hatted room, or a long late-afternoon at a vineyard restaurant, then somewhere comfortable to stay. Trying to fit a cellar door tasting, a sunset walk, and a dinner at a restaurant forty minutes away never improves the evening.

The Peninsula's strongest date-night rooms are intimate: Tedesca Osteria (30 seats), Polperro (small, seasonal, vineyard), and Bistro Elba in Sorrento (French-inflected, dinner-focused, village-based). For the most impressive setting, Laura at Pt. Leo Estate has no peer in Victoria. For the most dramatic interior, Doot Doot Doot at Jackalope Hotel is the answer.
